First Health, Then Wealth

EHO proposes 5 different stages with each their own type of fixation. To resolve all of the fixations is recommended in the defined order.

Repetition of behaviour becomes personality, consistency is essential in order to change.

| Stages

The stages proposed by EHO are Substances, Recovery, Social, Exercise and Nutriment. Each stage builds the fundament of the other and the whole is represented as a spectrum that explains behaviour through consumption. Our mental state is an expression of our physiological and by becoming conscious of our consumption we are able to change. Through the social stage (the center) behaviour is cognitioned and our social behaviour is derived from our believes. Also the first is a reflection of the fifth stage and the second of the fourth this is because it's the behaviour that is the foundation for the implementation.

It is important to know why something is healthy and how to achieve it. Many know why something is healthy, however many become demotivated because they don't obtain the self-control to change their behaviour. Motivation should be present within the individual and EHO provokes the natural progression of things with positive reinforcement, as long as someone follows legal and ethical standards.

This is a personal wellness method designed to support healthy habits and lifestyle, which is within your own control and unrelated to medical treatment.

Substances

Fixation: The usage of drugs that aren't essential for ones well-being.

Resolution: Understand that the use of such substances can reflect an inner imbalance or attachment, rather than serving a real need. One shouldn't be dependent of substances in order to be satisfied. Instead of investing in something that would improve society one escapes reality in the experiences of these substances.

Technique:
• Disconnect from communities where the use of drugs is more important than the social connection itself.

Recovery

Fixation: Not having enough rest.

Resolution: Aim for a consistent lifestyle with sufficient rest, often described as 7–9 hours of sleep for many adults. As mentioned the previous stage first needs to be resolved (a reasonable amount) to in order to continue. By reducing the amount of substances that have no real function you are able to recover better.

Technique:
• Develop a lifestyle were you generally aquire 7–9 hours of sleep.

Social

Fixation: A relation needs to consist of connection that are based on genuine interest in one another.

Resolution: Choose relationships that are based on genuine interest. Prevent social interactions that have no depth and tend to have ulterior motivations.

Technique:
• Become content with oneself, anything that naturally enters one’s life and has genuine interest can be considered as solid relation.

Exercise

Fixation: Not being physically in shape.

Resolution: Through exercise it is possible to stay in shape based on the specific needs of your lifestyle.

Technique:
• Reserve the time needed to exercise.
• Start out simple and build up discipline.

Nutriment

Fixation: Relying on a diet that contains harmful chemicals and doesn't prioritize plant-based foods.

Resolution: The objective is to actively participate, direct or indirect, in improving the quality in terms of health & ethics of the the things we consume and improve the effeciency of development. Besides biological consumption one should also realise the importance of mental consumption.
From an ethical and philosophical perspective, adopting a plant-based diet can be seen as beneficial. Also actively prevent harmful chemicals in food by supporting the right initiatives. If you eat a plant-based diet you would generally need to take supplements because not all vitamins are naturally found in plant-based food.

Technique:
• Get the supplements at home so you have the substances you need or find products where the substances have been added this makes it much easier to start.
• Collect the vegan recipes you like.
• Make cultural recipes with vegan replacements.
• Recognize that meat is nutrient-dense, which may explain why it has played a role in human evolution and tastes appealing, even though today these nutrients can also be obtained through other sources.
• Find a store that offers a diverse amount of vegan products, because eating the same food too often makes it harder to become vegan.
